Thanks. That was interesting.

I was trying to see whether sales peaked at any particular time
of year but the numbers are all over the place, barring a faint
bias in established models towards improved sales during Summer
months (Jun/Jul/Aug).

My local T-pusher (ie, in UK) seems to be shifting more Priuses
in general.

I was surprised that Prius sales declined slightly from 2005 to 2006,
but then I remembered that the Camry hybrid became available in 2006,
thus providing an alternative.

I paid about the same for my 2004 Prius as a comparably equipped Camry,
the closest conventionally powered car Toyota sells, would have cost,
and I got an income tax deduction in the process. How, in your opinion,
was that not a smart buy?

Because you won't be paying your oil-company windfall profits contribution
for tax years 2006-2016, assuming a 10 year lifespan for your Prius.

Come on now, don't you feel sorry for the oil companies? Wasn't it exciting
to have the gas pump click off at $50 when your tank was only half full?
