Most people will turn about 5K+ miles in 6months time. A lot of it is just inspections and tire rotation.
This is why I do my own service.

Oil,fluids and battery also degrade with time. Excess moisture may also accumulate if the engine isn't running often (which is why it is generally recommended to drive a car at least once a week for 30 minutes or more). That being said, feel free to do whatever you want as for the same car, Toyota US recommend 1 year/16K... Maybe it's because of climate or "free" maintenance in the US. Who knows. Why would our Corolla's need an oil change every 6 months if it sits in the garage 90% of the time? Seems overkill. The rest of the items listed under the Required Maintenance would also be a waste of time every 6 months if the car doesn’t even move. During the lockdown, the car may get used about 2 times in a month. Really feel like doing the maintenance once every 12 months, but I wonder if that would void the warranty.
That is the only oil change interval published in all the Toyota documentation that came with the car I can find, including the Warranty and Maintenance Guide. I was looking for a table of some sort to outline the different oil change interval between "Normal" and "Server" conditions. NO, just the one and only. If somebody can find something different official from Toyota Canada, please post. Thank you.So check your Warranty and Maintenance Guide carefully to make sure what the oil change interval is for Toyota Canada. The generic list you posted is not specific enough.
You may check the maintenance schedule on Toyota Canada web site Maintenance Schedule - Toyota Canada . By the way, they seem to have gone with the same US schedule for the 12th gen. I think what you have is a generic items to maintain : doesn't necessarily mean that each and every one of them should be performed at each 8K intervals. If somebody can find something different official from Toyota Canada, please post
Thank you. There is more information on the web site. Looks like oil change is recommended for once a year, which is more reasonable. They also outlines 3 different types of services depending on age/mileage.
