Allright, I am pretty new here, yet I have read almost evey post in every thread for the '07 Camry. I have done the same at the Edmunds site as well. I still am not clear about the '07 Camry Tire pressure monitoring system. I have seen posts suggesting that when I rotate my tires, I need to have the dealer re-set the computer??? Or that if I get new rims for say winter, and install new sensors in them, I have to take the car to the dealer every time I change a set of wheels?

I am looking for some clarification. As someone who hates paying for stuff twice, I need to be clear as to the TPMS and how sensitive it is.

Most important is tire rotation. My 6cyl-SE was new in Oct. '06. It is in the shop for a new trans:sosad: but at 3600 miles, I will be approaching my first rotation soon. If I run to the closest NTB, Just Tires, or wherever, can they rotate without issue? or is many trips and charges to my dealer in my future?

I average 20-25k/year in total miles.

Oh well, thanks

Out of curiosity have you called Toyota Corporate regarding your transmission issue? I had to have my transmission replaced at 12K! They offered to replace my Camry with a new one.

I had problem with Tire Pressure system which looks like they fixed when they replaced my transmission on my O7 SE V6 with 12K. The sensor seemed like it was ultra sensentive it would activatewhen the temperature was in the 30's but then turn off when it the temp went above 40+.

I have not talked with Corporate....yet. We purchased the car through my wife's uncle who is pretty high up in coprporate...the car was ordered and sent to the dealer of our choice without even stepping foot in a dealer....So that said, my wife will be contacting him when he returns from Japan to see his suggestion.

As for the TPMS, I am most interested in simple rotation and if a req'd reset of the system is needed by the dealer. Don't get me wrong, compaired to my '00 Grand Am GT1, this '07 Camry SE is GREAT, I just am not quite in love with the problems I have read on this and other forums.
