Just picked my first 93’ T100 SR5 was check plug for trailer and no power in the yellow wire. I opened up the left rear light and that’s where they did all the wiring. There’s a little white plastic box in there where some of the light wires hook up too. Is this needed, can’t I just tap into each individual wire “yellow, brown, green” like I’m used too on GM trucks.

I'm too lazy to think that hard so I just bought one of these and 20 minutes later all done with no intrusion into mt factory harness.
