I see a lot of cars with the trailer light hook up at the hitch receiver and I would prefer this than have it hanging out of the trunk because of the rub marks the wiring would cause.

can It be wired so the harness sits on the receiver? If not then how do I prevent the wire rubbing on the cars finish?

forresta

PS: where is a good cheap place to buy one? I would buy local but it takes 2 weeks to come in so I may as well shop it.

I prefer having the trailer wire stored inside the trunk, out of the elements, when not in use and pull it out only when needed. Never had a problem with it scratching the finish and never had a bad connection/broken wire due to the connector being outside and in the elements 100% of the time as it is when attached to the hitch.
