tranny problems

So the other day we had a snow storm so i was driving in town in 4high and everything seemed fine. i parked my truck for the night and the next day i went to bring my wife to work, it went right into reverse but as soon as i shifted into first it was gone. so i messed with the 4 wheel drive shifter and that didnt help so i unlocked the hubs and put it in 2 and i still didnt have first. then i put it in reverse and it worked, so i got about halfway up my driveway and got stuck on ice. So then i called a buddy to help push me up the hill to flat ground. and as soon we got it up there i started the truck and put it in first and it worked. but now the big problem its stuck in second gear when it should be in neutral. So i unhooked the reardriveline locked in the hubs and i can drive it in 2 and 3 but when i put it in reverse it bogs down and kills the truck. Oh its a 87 4x4 5 speed manual. and keep in mind when it should be in nuetral its actually in 2. If anybody has any ideas what it could be i would really appreciate it! Thanks!
