how do you find which tranny model you have in your car
i think i have the A-541e but not sure

well you can get toyota flid but its a terrible rip off.

just get the regular dexron micron III you can find at your local wal-mart. Just not wal-mart brand. Its in a black bottle (similar to engine oil type bottle).

Or if you want to go more serious, you can get synthetic tranny fluid. Mobil1 makes some.

Dexron III has superceded II. Some refinement I would guess. I'm using III. I don't even see II in the auto stores anymore. Someone posted a note about IV comming out this year.

sorry does yours require II? it states what you need in repair manuals and your car manual and on the tranny dipstick itself.

III is usually compatible with II (i think it states so on the bottle). II is harder to find as its outdated. IV is used in the newest vehicles like my mom's 2005 HL.

the dipstick in my 98 says Dexron II or III. I use the III.

I have seen everything up to ATF 4+ on the fluids aisle.
