I recently bought the 04 corolla .was given only 1key that is metal all through its body . My question is it possible to get a transponder key for it. I mean a key with black head? Thanks

Welcome to TN. Your original post was to an old thread. I created a thread for you.
As long as the transponder key is the master key, you can buy a transponder key blank and cut it.
There's videos on YouTube on how to program the transponder key using the master key.
Not certain, but I believe the master key has a G stamped into the key at the top of the key body.
Edit : my keys has a dot stamped into the key body. Outside of the US might be different.

My key also has a dot stamped into the key body. Did you ever find out what kind of key that is, and what is the direct equivalent of that key?
