I just put a set of TRD sport seat covers on my front seats (the ones that say TRD, not Tacoma) I noticed the driver side and passenger side were different. The plastic dowel that inserts between the seat on the passenger side was in two halves and you can spread them apart like the directions said. The Driver side was one long piece? Any ideas? Also, the passenger side has two slits about an inch long near the crease where the bottom and back of the seat meet. The driver side had none... wtf?
Ok, I'm sorry. I thought the question was obvious (in my mind) Why are they different. Yes, I read the instructions. It says push the plastic dowel between the seats and spread them apart for a tighter fit.
QUESTION ONE: WHY DOWEL DIFFERENT FROM ONE SEAT TO ANOTHER?
QUESTION TWO: WHY PASSENGER SEAT HAVE TWO SLITS IN THE SEAT COVER?
Ok, I was typing the questions as the answers were coming in. I can get pics if needed. I did realize the passenger seat had a child restraint system. Thanks guys.
I got a set from my wife for Christmas. The two tubes on the passengers side made it a whole lot easier to install IMO. Here is a couple of pics of mine installed. I guess I need to try a little harder for some better pics.
