I have read some forums on this site about the TRD Spring on TCH. But i would like to know if i were to install the TRD Springs on the TCH would there be any mechanical issue with the car or the motor. I thought that TRD springs were meant to be installed on the SE Camry not the TCH or other Camry models?

Please help here on making my decision whether to put TRD or not on the TCH?

thanks,

There are a few people who installed them on the TCH, and as far as I know there aren't any issues with it. I have them installed with my LE as well without any motor or mechanical issue, except a "clicking" sound from the suspension.

If you actually did read the posts, then you would know that there is indeed a mechanical issue. You will bottom out your rear, because the TRD springs are not designed to carry the weight of the hybrid battery.

Springs do not have any affect on your motor.

Toyota would still warranty the car if i were to install the TRD Springs or they are not designed for TCH?

No, I wouldn't assume the warranty is still valid, because Toyota never said the TRD springs are compatible on the hybrid. In fact, I would assume your suspension warranty is voided.

That's why I'm keeping my stock springs to reinstall back onto the car if I ever have any suspension problems that need to be serviced.

Don't do it.... Like FlopShot said, it'll bottom out your rear and it'll drag. Your car will look unbalanced as well... All those who have put on TRDs have removed them. Listen and learn from others...
