You have to wear the "new" off the gears. It is a pain the first dozen or so times, but it will get easier. Try Locking in 4HI, stop, switch to 4LO, slowly let out the clutch while turning the steering wheel. Repeat as necissary, it will go in. Once you get it figured out do it once a week for a couple of months to get things working smoothly. After 15-20 engagements it will slip right in. It takes a while to break in a virgin transfer case.ruger11mcrdpi said:hey guys,
I have a question about engaging into 4x4 low. My truck goes fine into and out of 4wd hi, but I cant seem to get it into 4wd low. I can park ona flat surface, push in the clutch, shirft int o4wd low and the light will just blink and beep, and never engage. I tried putting it in reverse and backing up a bit then going foward and it still wont do it. I'm not a mechanic nor am I an avid offroader so I figured maybe I was missing something simple, or was just retarded or something. Can someone shed some light on this for me?
