So now it's rated at 282hp @ 5400 rpm and 325lb-ft of torque (Tundra; 315 for Sequoia) at 3,400 rpm w/ 5 spd automatic. What do you guys think? Is it enough to compete? The 245hp 4.0L from the 4Runner and Tacoma is also on tap for the 2005 Tundra w/ 6 speed manual.

Because of the VVTI it creates a lot flatter torque curve....and w/ the 5 spd trani...off the line in the D-Cab you can chirp the tires just by punching it.
