My girlfriend owns a 2014 Corolla and we both find the seats very uncomfortable. No matter how I adjust the seats my lower back and legs hurt. There aren't many ways to adjust those seats, only forward and back and the back rest leans back and forth. We were wondering if there were any seats that we could upgrade to that might be more comfortable. Thanks for any help in advance.

It's an inexpensive car. So the seats aren't going to be luxurious. I find them acceptable, but I do agree, they really could use more adjustment, especially in the lumbar area, even if it was manual adjustment with levers and knobs.

I have the S bucket seats and they are reasonably comfortable for about 4 hours. Anything after that and I need out for a stretch. The only seats I have been in that are amazing hour after hour after hour are the seats in my Dad's Volvo S60.

If you really want to spring for nice aftermarket seats, you could, but it depends on what your girlfriend is willing to spend. I can't think of any off the top of my head however.

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer Limited with leather seats that are very comfortable so it is difficult for me going back to her seats. Ive never looked into replacing seats so are they universal or what? I realize if there isn't power it is difficult to wire up for power but do the bolt patterns change from seat to seat?

The stock seats are not universal. But people do racing seats and whatnot. Corbeau Recaro and Bride are a couple of brands that come to mind.

Likely you would want to install some universal tracks that may or may not come with the seat. It would involve some minor fab/drilling. To me, the corolla isn't worth the extra fuss of nice seats. Seeing that it is an LE model though, you could always try some seat covers? I'm not sure how much they would help, but they make custom fit ones that might add a bit more padding where you need it.
