I am planning to install an amplifier under the passenger seat. Q, what is this air pipe under the seat..Is this inlet or outlet? I turned on the rear aircon and no air out of this pipe.

Is it safe to put an amplifier on top of this airpipe?
picture from driver side but its the same as passenger.

Those are air vents tied to the front A/C system. Try turning on the front system and put the vents in floor mode and you should feel air flow coming out of them. Usually used for heat, so putting an Amp on top of them isn't a great idea.

Its the front AC system output for the middle row. Heat or AC can flow out of it, however on auto, its almost always heat (when needed). The vent in the foot area of the 3rd row is the only lower vent for the rear AC system.

As for amps...the elec engineer in me says heat + transistors = bad, the practical side doesn't care  I've had amps/equipment installed there for years (6+) under both seats without issue. I will says I'm also not running dirt cheap amps, the higher quality parts & design give them a higher factor of safety against heat. An amp that was built to bare bone cost (I'm talking the cheapest you can get) and was designed to barely function at load at normal conditions may have issues. No way of knowing for sure, just a thought that came to mind. My alpine amps have always run fine.

Just installed the amp,its Alpine MRV-F300. Wow,definitely an improvement on the sound. This is really cool amp,its class D.It has more juice now. My 6.5 polk sounds even better..more bass than before, even at low volume.
Sounds like I may not need to install a sub at all.

I just need to find a way to secure or bolt this amp under the seat.

Plus on channel 3, I hookup a temporay 4" speaker, located at the trunk, left side... Planning to make my non-jbl 6 speaker audio to 8 speaker system.
