Just wanted to say thanks for the help here, and thought I'd share where I'm at right now.

After the accident with the transport, got it back, and they did an amazing job. Unfortunately, the engine blew the crankshaft. Seems there was an oil pressure problem without any signs there was.
Anyways, new engine in [somewhere around 60,000km on it] and running well. Noticed though my heat went form not good to almost none. Ended up flushing the heater core today bleeding the system. and now lots of heat again! Lots of crap came out plus sediment. Will keep an eye out and mae end up doing a flush, but all is good for now.

Blew the front drivers side stuts due to the wonderful pot holes on one of the highways here [if you live around here, you'll know how bad the 401 was!] Ended up putting in a matched set of struts from a 4cyl. They've now settled a wee bit and now the car sits more evenly. We'll see in a week what happens with them.

Now with all the brakes/calipers redone, and the lateral control arms, car is running nicely. Let's hope it keeps doing that!

So as far as what's left to do?

-one rear door has to be replaced. Have the door, just need a nice day to do it, and a small hole in one rocker panel beneath said door to fix.

-windsheild is badly cracked but they wouldn't cover it when they did the body work and still needs to be replaced. [We'll see what kinda of a price I can get on one.]

-replace all struts/springs, but with the engine replacement, will need to wait a bit until I have $ again to do

-trailing arm bushings to be replaced still

- other than that would love to get a set of sideskirts put on, and maybe the RMM lip. We'll see. Other things first.

After that? we'll just have to see where it goes.....

cheers!

Cheer man, our camries might be outdated, outfashioned, but they wont die.
so i guess u won't be getting my coils any time soon, or u still saving for them?
Not sure if you got my message I sent. Gotta start all over again saving. Still owe my mechanic a bit as well. :disappoin Just been a bad few weeks for me.
Blown engine = broke = suspension has to wait.
Blown front strut = quick fix for now before I ruin my rim, tire, or anything else with a good set of struts from the wreckers. [they're in amazing shape actually] No v6's available at the moment to pull from unless I want to put in another bad strut with a broken spring.
Well, thought time for a bit of an update. I4 front struts are holding up well. To be honest, doesn't seem like there's much of a difference from the V6 ones I had in [other than the one is not broken]

Got my 4g wire run to the trunk finally, and found it made a definite difference to the audio system with the upgrade.

Got a TRD RSB now, [Thanks CB]. Ordered the Gen4 brackets so if all goes well, will be installed this weekend.

Still though need to get that damn door switched out :hammer: Never seems to be enough time to get it done.

Don`t forget to get teflon and white lithium grease and do it right the first time. I`ve got an extra roll if you need it.

Well, I know the bushings have to be greased on a yearly basis, but teflon? Please explain.
Might be a bit late - but Standard Auto Wreckers has there infamaous "all you can carry" weekend on June 13th (I think)

$50/person admission - you go in with your non-power tools and a heavy-duty nylon bag, find the car parts you want - and go home.

A buddy of mine and I went last year - walked out with 4 turbos, 2 intercoolers, a few sets of exterior lighting, a set of leather seats, and a rear spare-tire carrier for an SUV. Piled 'em all up on a scrapper hood. each of us grabbed a side and carried it out for just under $100

You know the T-dot - full of 3rd Gen camry's - there must be at least 2 or 3 in the lot to pick and choose from.
 They know me well there! Might have to do a free parts day this year. Always good to keep a few spare parts like alt's etc that can go. Usually the cam's there are pretty much stock and more 4's than the V6's but do come across parts here and there. Know several good wreckers in the TO area. Usually find what I need eventually. Never found one that anyone put some real work into though. Haven't really found any turbos there though. Would LOVE to do one in my cam, but honestly, wouldn't have a clue how to do it. Hell, even a SC would be nice too. No idea though exactly how they put on on this engine though, although there's the MR2's with it done.

TRD RSB isn't going in it looks like. My mechanic is too busy to do it today unfortunately. I'd do it at home, but just can't risk breaking off the bolts for the brackets, or screwing the link ends at all. :disappoin Maybe monday depending on how scheduling works out for me. I was looking forward to a nice trip today with it in. Just will have to wait now.

Thanks.

Well, seems the TRD install is getting put off yet again. :disappoin Seems my reat cross member is really bad now, so it all has to be done at the same time. Unfortunately I didn't know that until today, although I do have a replacement one although of course not with me. Will have to get it and then go to my mechanics' yet again and hopefully get it done once and for all. Seems one of my links is good and one is bad so will have to do that as well.

Wish I could do it myself in my driveway, but don't have the right tools to do it properly. Ah well. Hopeing once I get it done it all goes smoothly.

Still a few little things I need to take care of, and think I finally tracked down the clunk in the back. Need to get under and confirm.

What the hell? Your Camry came with a bookshelf on the trunk? That's sweet!
^ lol

Not a big fan of that either but if I need rice I know where to go
fat wings on a fwd camry
and quad fogs

sigh*
some times i dont get it.
maybe its just personal opinion
Well, I never do things like everyone else, and I know not everyone will like it. The spoiler does however work and does what it's supposed to do. If I was doing it for pure looks, there's a lot of other options I could have done.
Quad fogs? I only have one set of fogs on it.
