How does the filter not get wet in rain and splash back situations. And when you wash the truck?

Get the wrap, trust me I know first hand. My wife and I were coming back home from asheville to atlanta. It rained the whole time down I-85. Well I went to give it some gas to pass and the truck felt like it lost all power. So I stopped in a gas station turned the truck off and turned itback on, it was fine BUT I could not give it a lot of gas. I had to cruise home about 100 miles going about 50mph. When i got home I took the filter off and it was soaked. I put the stock intake on dried the MAF, and went for a drive, everything was fine. I sold the URD the next day.
What are you running now?
Stock for now, the money I got from the URD went to debt. The wife and I have decided we are tired of credit debt. So I am happy to report we paid off one card yesterday ($1200.00 balance) and only have 2 cards left with a total of 4k on them combined. So when we have a little extra cash I will get a TRD intake.
I found a guy who is going to sell me the K&N FIPK that he used half a year for 100.00. So I think I am going to put either a True Flow or Amsoil instead of the K&N filter.

AMsoil ftw !
yeah thats kinda my thinking, I will have to call them to see if they have a cone filter with 6" inlet because there website is hard to get specs of filters.
I haven't had any problems with my URD intake. I drove all the way from Warner Robins, GA to Helen, GA; Dothan, AL; and Orlando, FL in pouring down rain and I've had absolutely no problems with the water. I forget the filter is behind the grill every time I wash my truck and I end up soaking the damn thing but it hasn't affected my truck's performance at all (still runs like a bat outa' hell even with the filter soakin' wet).

What size filter wrap did you buy? just curious to see what size the cone is on the intake in order to run the proper wrap.
