Hi everyone,
First post here. I own a 2007 Toyota 4Runner 4.0L V6 4x2 and I have recently been introduced to the wonderful world of 1/4 mile racing. Well, the curiosity was killing me after 4-5 trips to the track, how it would run. So on Test & Tune night, I took her down the track. I know... who races a 4Runner, right? Well, with no mods at all, I held the brake, rev'd up to 2500rpm and ran a 15 flat. I was blown away...and instantly addicted. This is my primary vehicle and I have alot of automotive electronics experience but I want to make sure I research thoroughly before I mess with tuning. I Didn't have $350 to purchase a TRD CAI so I built my own based of TRD specs. It runs inside the P/S fender and down just behind the fog light. It works extremely well however, my CEL and Traction Control lights are on. I measured the signal from the MAF and it's out of range obviously, 2.053 vdc @ 2500rpm. The pulled code was P0101, MAF Circuit range/performance. First Question: If my VSC TRAC light is on, does that mean that system is currently disabled. I ask this because unlike before, it seems to have trouble grabbing when I go WOT. I have fairly new Nitto tires too. Second Question: I found, on URD's website, a MAF Sensor Calibrator that claims to correct CEL issues and remap the fuel curve. Can anyone recommend this. I just want to know a little more about how it works. I commute 140 total miles 6 days a week so I'd like to hang on to my highway MPG's but from 2500rpm and up, I'd like to get cleaner, quicker and more powerful response. Any information I can get will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! D-Bro

Hi Dopeydwb, welcome to TN.
I don't have any specific answers to your questions, but in reference to your MAF question, have you tried contacting URD for help with their products? Gadget at URD is typically very helpful when I've wheeled with him in the past.
