For those of you who were hesitant to splice into your ECU wiring to add products such as the URD MAF calibrator, URD has pre-wired harnesses available for many applications.

http://www.xr-underground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9309

From Gadget

URD is now offering ECU jumper harnesses. These harnesses plug in between the stock ECU and its wire harness. When installing an aftermarket Performance Calibration Unit, you can use this harness to make your splice connections. This eliminates the need to splice into your stock harness. Customers have asked for a way to install the different Performance Calibration Units in their vehicles and be able to remove them without leaving a trace. This is useful for warranty work or if you decide to sell the vehicle.

These harnesses are of the highest quality and use the very same OEM connectors that are installed on your stock ECU harness.

When ordered with one of the Performance Calibration Units URD offers, including the MAP-ECU2, we can prewire the unit into the jumper harness for you. When you received it, you can just Plug-N-Play.

Ok found the pricing. Looks like you guys are set if want hassle free installation of the URD MAF cali.

Depending on application, the ECU jumper harnesses range in price from $139 to $299. URD will publish a specific application list very soon. Until then you can email URD at [email protected] for a quote for your specific application.

wow that seems a little expensive, so your gonna end up paying about 500 for the intake and maf calibrater and between 139-300 for the harness thats a little ridiculous $650 for intake and plug n play calibrater without a wideband is hard for me to pay.

That's even more of a mess than splicing the wires, which really wasn't that hard to do and much cleaner IMO. It would be very hard for a toyota tech to even see the splicing done, unless they knew what they were looking for

Hmm, definitely seems expensive to save a little bit of work. Plus, the way I read Gadget's post, it's almost like you still have to splice but you just splice into the new harnesses instead of the stock one. I don't think he explained that very well, it's kind of ambiguous. I mean, yeah, if it's completely plug and play, that would be nice but it's certainly not worth that much money, not to me anyways.

hmmm, I already have a MAF and I emailed URD to see if they can add the harness on and this was their response:

We would be happy to accommodate you. Kindly send the [MAF Calibrator] box to:

PO Box 39
Huntingtown, MD 20639

We can call you for payment once we receive the box.

Best,
Brian

I'm pretty sure I want a pricing quote before I ship it back to them.
