hi all,i plan to change my Highlander 2002 ( that is good ) and buy a used Sienna AWD and i wonder if there are some years that i should not touch.i am alone with my wife and dont need the capacity of the Highlander but the AWD Sienna seems a good alternative .Time too time i haul my trailer and my Yamaha Rhino
to go riding in the trail and i wonder if the FWD could do the job, together the weight is + or - 2000 lbs ...

tell me your advise,,i have no idea of the reliability of the Sienna AWD but the Highlander is good if well maintain as i did.

thanks again and Best 2020 to you

Depends on where you place the importance of various features. The FWD will give you better mileage and a place to carry a spare tire, while the AWD gives you that additional traction when you want/need it. I've been a full on AWD with all season tires for decades now and I'm fine with the tradeoffs.

No, no undesirable years. '04–'06 have 1MZ engines that need the timing belt replaced every 100K miles. '07–'16 have 2GR engines with timing chains. Both are good engines but both have well known faults. I'd be comfortable buying either.
