Cleaning that rear window is going to be an ongoing struggle I'm afraid. Even though it might snow in two days, the rear 1/3 of the vehicle really needed a through cleaning. I spent $5 at the spray wand.
See above
At the pivot, there is a small cover. Grip the sides just past the pivot and snap it upward. That will allow you to lift the wiper for cleaning or changing the blade

Regarding the climate controls;

With my 2017 Civic Hatchback all of the climate controls were software based in the head unit. I was able to gain physical controls by purchasing the climate controls from Honda's parts department as the lower trim Civics still had them. Do the physical climate controls from the non 12" screen models come in a part that can be swapped in the 12" screen Venzas?

No they don't.

Where is the recirculation control on the touch control panel? I use that a lot to avoid noxious exhaust fumes from vehicles in front of me. I don't see it on the XLE/Limited touch panel. While having to use the touch panel would be bad enough (compared to the simple button on the LE), it would be even worse if you have to go into the infotainment menus to find it. 😳 If so, it would be a total deal breaker for me.

Could an XLE or Limited owner please explain how the recirc works?

Bottom right corner of the climate control touch screen - little picture of a car with a circular arrow..

To make sure it is on RECIRC all the time, press the recirc button to make "auto" disappear leaving just the blue line under the button. BTW, if you press it again and the blue line goes away, then you've disabled RECIRC and you are getting air directly from outside.

That's what I'm talking about. That part with the physical controls should be available from Toyota's parts department and it should work on the Limited, right?

Might have to get the AC trim too though. On second thought, it probably won't work and you'd lose some of the controls for the infotainment system.

Exactly.
The Limited merges controls for the AC on the HU, and audio on the AC panel.

Looks like you also have an Aux input that maybe I don't have? I'd have to check... Mine has two USB ports, I don't think it has a 3mm jack.

The differences in some of the models is crazy.
Venza - 12vdc inside the console, two standard USB up front.
Avalon - 12vdc up front, two standard USB and one USB-C in the console.
The USB-C and one standard are for charging only, the other is the one and only data port.

On the Venza, either USB can carry data... whichever one gets plugged in first get the connection to the HU.
I haven't tried starting the car with both mine and my wife's phones plugged in already.

On my Corolla and Avalon, and I imagine the Venza, when in Auto mode, the system prioritizes recirc under most conditions when the system is used for cooling, as that is the most efficient mode.
For heating, it will generally use outside air to prevent condensation.

I got the Car2Play Air adapter and it works great.

We just got our 2021 Toyota Venza Limited and Car Play is not available, I understand that navigation is unavailable since you can use the maps from your mobile phone and project it via carplay.
We live in Guam a territory of US and I don't know what's the reason behind the Car play not activated on newer Toyotas while available on other brands.
I also have a 2012 Toyota Sienna Base model where I replaced the head unit with a Pioneer and Car Play is working just fine.

Being outside of the CONUS or North America is likely the issue.
The US models all have Carplay and Android Auto, and the Limited (and lower models with the upgraded stereo) have internal nav as well.

I've driven it long enough to come up with a series of little things that I find very annoying on this car, but I've learned to live with:
...
  • Seat height (way too high even at lowest setting) - can't even lower the passenger one
  • ...
  • Heated steering wheel - the heating elements do not go all around the steering wheel. It only heats up 2-4 and 8-10 position (roughly).
  • ...
Seat height: You must be very tall! I have the XLE with upgraded seat package, and I drive with the seat fully raised, and I'm 5'11". My g/f is only 4'11" and doesn't like how low the passenger seat is; she has added a cushion to the seat to raise it up a bit. I would pay extra for a fully adjustable passenger seat.

Heated Steering Wheel: Your observation is correct, but it's consistent with what I've seen in other vehicles. I believe modern steering wheels are designed to 'snap' during heavy impact, and the snap points are such that the heated wiring doesn't go beyond those boundaries. Still, I wish it were all around! I live in AZ and CA, and I must admit, I love the feature!

When in Auto mode, how do you know whether the system is in 'recirc' or not? One of MY pet peeves is that in 'auto', it doesn't tell you what setting is 'current'; same for the fan setting - it just shows 'auto', rather than actual chosen.

Honestly, I've not even looked.
I just assume that since I am comfortable and the windshield is not fogged, the car is using the most efficient mode. Other than bumping it between 66 and 72, and to turn on the defogger, I never touch it.

My compliant is that every morning around 5:20 AM there is always a Venza hogging the fast lane meaning I need to just the middle lane to pass.

If someone is coming behind you at high speed in the fast lane, move over.

Seat - I'm 6'1". Not sure what the upgraded seat package is. I assume it's the same as mine as I have a Limited. And yes, the front passenger seat should have the same exact controls as the driver seat.

Heated steering wheel - If I'm not mistaken, my previous car (Tucson) the entire steering wheel was heated. Not a big deal though...

Recirc - For you to know if the system is in "recirc mode" go to the climate controls screen and verify that that icon is "on". I wish there was a physical (capacitive either) button for it on the main console. Relying too much on a touch screen isn't the greatest.

My other compliant is that after work around 2:40 pm on that same stretch of hwy that same Venza is still hogging the fast lane causing a safety hazard because now all the other drivers have to use the middle or rather the right lane to pass him.

There are not a lot of drivers around 5:20 am on the hwy. There are a ton of drivers after 2:30 pm.

If you are in the fast lane and there is an queue of over ten vehicles bunched up together behind you and there are other vehicles passing on your right at high speed, get out the way.

We've had our new 2021 Venza XLE for about five weeks. Great car. However, I have officially "given" it to my wife, and I will drive our 2017 Sienna XLE. The main reason? I can't stand how I nearly hit the right side of my head every time I get in the driver's seat! Yep! Those seats do not go low enough for me, and I'm only 6'0''! Why didn't I notice this when we were buying it?! I dunno. What I discovered is, I have to "position" my bottom all the way into the seat AND NOT ON THE RAISED EDGE OF THE SEAT before pulling my head through the doorway! This car has a cool bucket-seat design, but it's hard to clear the head jamb if I start by sitting on the edge of the seat and scoot to the center of the chair.
