Manual - Not in front of me at this moment

Dashboard - Not in car to look

Online manual - I chose to come to you experts

My question is, do the 06 Limited's come with TPMS sensors? I thought mind didn't. I was told I had a TPMS leak? They could fix it for $20. The left front tire. Oh, I went in to just to get a free brake inspection, so that's how the above was discovered. Brakes are great though.

I thought the 07's and up only have the TPMS sensors.

Thanks for reading.

You can access the original Owners Manual for any Toyota vehicle here:

The 2006 manual does not show a TPMS lamp. The 2007 manual does (section 1-1).
However, there is a "late 2006" manual than also shows the lamp. This version supposedly applies to 2006 Avalon models manufactured during or after October 2006.

You are correct on the year thing, easy way to tell is if you have a regular valve stem which is black rubber, or a silver aluminum valve which would be the sensor.

Thanks gentlemen.

I definitively have the black stems.

Inov8, thanks for the info as well. I didn't have time to check my ToyOwn acct at work so that is why I came here. I tried to put all the cliche stuff to do before I asked my questions.

Looking at the car sticker on the door panel, it does say Kentucky Inc 04/06 so it appears that I have the earlier version.

The mech said my TPMS is leaking so maybe I over heard him and it was the stem that's a little hurt and would need $20 to fix. He added some air too. Anyways thanks for the responses.

Did your TMPS light come on when the air was low in the tire? If you have it, there will be a light on your instrument cluster.
Thanks for asking. I meant to do an update, but after reviewing the notes, it was actually just the stem valve leak. No lights came on but he said it was low on some air pressure. My model doesn't have the TPMS tho.

Car has been fine, but it has been a month since I put some air in it. Says about $21 to fix, but my tire isn't the problem. Usually that's a flat tire fix, I've been cruising all Wisconsin summer long. Yes the Midwest is having a summer lol
