Is your car a 5-speed? I can't see you doing 16.5 with an Auto.

norcalcam, i go to sac raceway. its 15 bucks every wednesday night if you're racing, 7 bucks if watching.

ASG14, Its a 5 sp. i cant live with automatics.

xtremeskier97, its straight pipe(2.5inch) from the collectors all the way to the muffler. i have the greedy sp. imma get a resonator this wednesday that way it can sound more of a mumble then a fart. =) i was running against an ef 4dr with a swap. he was doing 15.8.

Running on 17s that weights over 20lbs on the rear is not good for drag when you dont produce that much power.

like a honda civic
Yeah I understand you deleted everything for that extra little umph, but damn it sounds terrible!

I woulda just disconnected the DP from the cat and ran off of that, it sounds MUCH better

BUT, nice times and run!

And @ creeps, the gen 4 5s-fe came stock with a couple more (like 3?) horsies, so that would be the difference

i would ran open headers, but after a whole day of driving it, i can barely hear people talking to me. Lol aftermarket headers are way louder then the stock ones. But i will get it dyno again once i get more ponies.

I know, I had the aftermarket headers. And open headers would be cutting out the DP and everything else. I was referring to taking off everything after the DP.

Get a y-pipe cut out, so u can control the sound when u want.
Nice idea, but for $250 I would rather jack up my car and unbolt/bolt 5 mins when I want too.

open headers to me is as long as you unbolt the DP that connects the cat and the catback then its open headers.

anyone have vids of there 5sfe at the drag strip?
