Hi all,

I had bought an Akaso V50 Pro but it seems to have lost its support and since it is not weatherproof I didn't want to take the chance of it or its case breaking. Instead I just ended up spending a lot more on the GoPro Hero 8 Black since it is overall a lot more durable and has a very wide range of accessories for it. Unsurprisingly, it is pretty great. I'd like to do some more recording given that I know have a lot of time but because I have a lot of time I can't (rather I shouldn't) be recording at this current time until things get better.

  • Time Warp Resolution - 1080p

  • Speed - Auto
  • EV Comp - 0
  • White Balance - Auto

  • Sharpness - High
  • Color - GoPro

Nice. I got a Go Pro Hero 8 Black too about 2 months ago. I just had the chance to try it out last weekend. What's impressive is the image stability on it as it was mounted to the front of my bike.

Does it do some kind of electronic image stabilization?
GoPro has a couple of levels in electronic stabilization. I didn't use it on my late night drive as I feel (with the Akaso V50 Pro) that the video makes it feel wobbly. I have not yet tested it though given that the car does have suspension so if the camera does move it is moving with the car. On a bike the stabilization would likely assist more as seen everywhere else on Youtube.

Any good footage of close calls and bad MN drivers?
I generally don't see many crashes and close calls I tend to forget about. I don't plan on using the GoPro as a dash cam because it is far too expensive to leave in the car. On the other hand I do have a Rexing dash cam that I do leave in the car that remains relatively out of sight. The GoPro is more for if I feel like driving out at midnight because I am bored or just for any other time I feel like just driving around. I "can't" do that now given the situation...

Night-lapse mode looks very nice though not really consistent. Regular Time Warp looks pretty bad and it seems that it has video stabilization on. Any thoughts?
