i was thinking about getting a WAAG frontrunner for a little extra protection after a near fender bender at low speed made me think it would be a good idea. Does anyone own one?

Does anyone have any good or bad experience with WAAG insofar as product quality goes? Good experiences?

Here's WAAG's site and a picture of the "frontrunner" on an '05 Tacoma:

Thanks,

I put one on my 05 Double Cab. I like it. It is light but keeps cattle bump gates off front bumper and fenders (which is all I really need front guard for). I do not notice any reflection of the headlights. It was very easy to install. Only downside: can't figure out where the "optional" light tabs are or would go.

dude that little rinky dink bumper isn't going to do much in an accident. Dont follow so closely that is best way to avoid damage. If you are going to add anything to the front get a custom fabed prerunner bumper, all the others are pretty tacky looking.

I hear you somewhat, but a grill guard won't do jack for me either .. most grill guards dont even offer coverage on the bumper.

some idiot was pulled over to the right side of the road a couple of weekends ago and decided to make a U-turn from the right side of the road while i was about to pass him. The road was completely snow covered (11,000 ft. pass in Colorado). I hit the brakes and swerved and was within 1 inch of hitting him. I'll spare you the details of the profanity laced diatribe I unleashed on him.

Anyway, if i had hit him with the bumper, maybe i get a little damage. I'm thinking slow speed collisions in ski area parking lots (and the like) would be less damaging to my vehicle if i had one of these things.. SinCity, you really think that one of these things isn't going to help prevent bumper damage? Why wouldn't it? It's frame mounted.

FYI, I don't follow too closely. Just because I'm thinking about getting something like this doesn't mean I'm one of millions of idiots who tailgate their asses off. (you know who you are!!)

What do you mean by a custom fabed prerunner bumper? Can you show me a picture? i.e. link?

Thanks,
