hey guys, i went out to Joes today formely known as G.I Joes. There having a going out of bussiness sale, since there closing down. I bought some wax, well acutally two bottles they where dirt cheap, i got a 16fl. oz of Black Magic Liquid Wax and a bottle of 16fl. oz. Black Magic Carnuaba Wax liquid. This is the order im going to detail my car, please correct me if its out of order:

1. Wash car
2. Clay bar
3. Wax

I got two microfiber applicator pads, and im wondering which of the wax i should use first, normal Liquid wax or the one with the carnuaba wax? which one will last longer? also is it hard to apply a thin even layer? and is it hard to remove all the wax that is on the car to apply another coat like few weeks down the road, like when my car gets dirty and washing it with car wash soap. any advice on how to wax my car would be great. Im new to waxing and have not waxed my car once since i got it back in 2005, just a whole lot of car washing with a microfiber mitt.

OP you need to do this steps
wash
clay bar with quick detailer
apply scratch x from meguiars or any cleaner
polish i recommend show car glaze #7 from meguiars too
wax i use NXT from meguiars

to mantain: wash car with car soap i recommend gold class or NXT car shampoo
rinse while its still wet spray with wax as you dry i use eagle one wax as you dry the wipe it then wipe it off:thumbsup:.
wash

wax

carnuba should always be applied as a last step.

Take a look at the detailing sticky at the very top of this subforum, very insightful reading.
hey, i deatailed my car today using meguairs clay bar with detailing spray, and after im done with the clay'ing, is it me or it left a whole bunch of scratches on my car?
I've never had more scratches put on the car from claying it. Maybe they are more noticeable to you after claying? Or maybe you didn't use enough spray, or possibly your clay is contaminated. You have to be sure to knead it often, and NEVER drop it.
You have to use generous amounts of lube for the claybar, don't be cheap  Maybe you picked up something on the claybae and then scratched your car with it
