of course i know there is a dumb water temperature gauge in the car. with a aftermarket gauge, i will be able to read the percise temperature of the coolant (yes it actually move around since it has separate sensor). I brought a trip gauge kit that come with oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage meter (useless pos). The guage kit will nicely fit under to my headunit, i think.

thanks for the reply but where can i get the T-pipe?
The T would have to be pretty big to fit into the radiator hose. You can try looking at a shop that sells performance plumbing products for cars. Or you can try a shop that deals with hydraulics.

What I would do is, take off the water neck that bolts to the right side of the cylinder head. Drill and tap a hole for the sensor. You'll have to find out what the thread size is for your sensor, but most are 1/8" NPT.
