looks real good.
Have you noticed any gains in performance and mpg?
That looks like a really clean install. Thanks for posting. Has it created any check engine lights?
Where did you buy from and how much was it? Is it really that much more noticeable of a sound? sorry.. noob to SRIs and CAIs, etc...
So on the installation manual, where does it ask you to mount the intake to? And that two metal pieces are straight when they are out of the box, right? You did bend it?Question on clamp: Yes. That black metal strip (4th pic from bottom) is the mounting bracket used for the intake. it actually comes w/ two...but instructions on where to place was realllllllll awkward and made no sense, so i just needed one. But if you are also wondering if it's sturdy. Yes it is =)
semper.

I am being serious so if you respond to this please be serious.hmm.. to answer your question. performance wise, it does have a bit more kick to it and does pick up a bit faster. mpg...well i think i'll end up burning more gas b/c of the freakin' awesome sound it makes when u gas it! :naughty: and as for check engine light..none. hope this answers it
He is more than serious...there is a dyno proof on the forum. 5hp and 5lb/ft of torque gain with the intake. I know the SRI has disadvantage of sucking warm air from the engine bay, but you should consider the intake lets in more air and increase the velocity of the flow as well.I am being serious so if you respond to this please be serious.
How do you gain HP and torque by sucking in Hot Engine compartment air?
Is flow restricted on the stock filter setup?
I believe I questioned that when it was 1st posted. 6% humidity in Houston......yeah right.........and besides, 4.7 hp difference between dyno runs is simply a margin of error factor. You can't do back-to-back dyno pulls and get identical results. Again, 4.7 hp, just a margin of error factor, nothing more and far from proof of any benefit. Marketing depts wouldn't lie to you............or would they.:headbang:
