How do you find the mats grip wise when its really icey and slushy out? Just ordered the floorliner to keep the interior good, but just curious about the grip.

I haven't been in the ice/mud with mine, but just water and they grip great. I always preferred carpet because I didn't like slipping around, but boy was this one of the better mods I've done. I love just jumping in and not worrying about getting the floor or mats dirty. I remember the old stock rubber mats in my 92 chevy, they were slick. And ever since then I've always had carpet, but this is definately the way to go. And I can't say enough about the fitment and how the sides go up to catch all the water etc.

Oh and did I mention I've only had the mats a week and the truck 3 weeks. :) But I did have an 05 with the carpet mats for almost 2 years.
When it's really snowy and slushy out and I track snow onto the factory mats, it tends to form little ice spots there as it melts with the heat on and freezes when the truck sits. This is usually right where my driving heel rests. Anyway, I have a set of Weathertechs on order too and I just cant see that problem occurring again. Ice is much easier to crack off rubber than it is to pick it out of carpet.

Even if you do track lots of snow and crap in, I'm sure you could push it out of the way and still have the mat contain it. There's a guy here who caught an entire cup of coffee with one!

*edit* btw Tacolot, after all that I forgot to ask..what area of town are you in?
Lol great to hear. Ya I saw that coffee thing, which prompted me to buy them.

Im up in the NW end of town.

I don't know about snow? But when it rains the mat don't become slippery at all.
The biggest problem is that the weatherTech's looks so good I hate to put my dirty shoes on them.:dunno: I want to get floor matts to protect them?
