Ok guys I'm kinda new to forums but I found this weird part in my 1996 aw11 mr2 I'm not sure what it's for do you think you could help me out

I have a 93' Where did you find it?
Are you experiencing any odd nosies or other issues?

That goes in the front trunk to support the spare tire and protect the master cylinder from bumps.
