About two days ago I received an e-mail from this guy who says he's interested in buying my '93 Cam. First I thought it was my girlfreinds sister that told this guy about me selling my car, since she was the only one I told at the time. Today I found out this guy is in England and he wants to buy my car and I'm here in Belize. I keep on thinking how the hell this guy got my e-mail address and knew what car I drive. The only two places that have that info are here and cardomain. I think it's shady as hell. What ya'll think?

there's been a widespread scam lately, i almost fell for it last year... somebody in a foreign country says he/she wants your car and asks if u will accept a cashier's check, then the check ends up bein counterfiet... i'd be careful...

Same thing happened to me when I posted a motorcycle for sale. Then the closer to sale it got, the more ridiculous the claims. First they wanted to send me more then I was asking because it was someone repaying a bill owed to the first party, then something or the other, but when they asked for my bank account number...
I gave them some made up shit and I never heard anything again.
It's a bullshit scam. Try it out for giggles, just don't give anything out. Ask for a WU transfer, or earnest money.
If an asshole got enough information on you collected over a period of time, don't be surprised if you soon after will have credit card bills from around the world.

silly question, but does your cardomain page say its for sale? I'd get as much info from this guy as you can and keep it just for the sake of it. Also, if you havent said anything to him yet, ask how he knows about it (dont bring up cardomain to him obviously). be careful man, there some real shitty people out there. If real weird things keep happening, have your credit history checked

Why would you wanna sell your car to someone in England when you live in Belize?? Shipping alone would cost you the same as the car is worth anyways.. why would you bother? :disappoin

i've also heard of this SCAM, it has been all over the boards, with a trail of disheartened victims along the way. DO NOT entertain his/her offers! :ihatespam

No i wouldn't sell my car to someone in England. That just wouldn't make sense and no my cardomain site doesn't say my car is for sale.
