What can a Paseo beat? With lil mods.

You can beat any car that is in the same class as us as long as they are stock or have similar upgrades. This is assuming that you are a better driver than the other person. Also it depends if you are talking drag race or road course.

Maybe a 1988-1991 CRX. The SI had 105 hp, the HP had 70 hp, and a 92 hp engine was used in mid-level DX hatchbacks and sedans, high-line LX sedans, wagons, and standard CRXs.
yea... you cant beat much. i have a stock 93 paseo and i get whooped on all the time. i am fine until like 30mph but after that it has no power whatsoever...... but i also have a v8 lurking in my explorer if i really feel like beating up on someone....
base model mx3's, and the like basically stuff in same class.
I've beat a like a 95 jetta and a 96 mustang both stock, but my car 94 paseo has intake, if that matters. Also my car was on its game that night, it gave the longest 2nd gear cherp I 've ever heard from it. it knew it was time to race. u might beat my paseo in performance but not heart.:heart:
On road race events I've beat many cars that should have ripped me a new one. Driving skills are the biggest advantage you can have, after that comes handling, braking and power in that order. The first mods to my little car was suspension. A set of high quality coilovers and 7" rims with swaybars and strutbraces. After that start on the brakes, the common Paseo upgrade parts for front and a custom rear disc setup. Now I've just bolted in a 4EFTE and the matching 5 speed. I haven't been to a dragstrip yet but can't wait to go nor has the first road event came up yet.

If you're itching for some racing action try bracket racing at your local dragstrip....its where you dial in a 1/4 mile time and try to hit it consistently.

Really? I know of two 5EFE powered Tercels that run in the low 16's with minor mods. With a swap and some modding a Paseo can be a high 12 second sleeper. Ya dunno? Ya betta aks somebody!:naughty:

As with anything, you get what you pay for. I'm sure if you wanted to drop the turbo 3.0 from the Supra (not sure of the numerical designation) into a Paseo you could go pretty darned fast.

Amen. I've beat cars I had no chances of beating with the stock 3EE in the Tercel on solo2 events. Cars like the 350z's, 300zx's, 240sx's, Audi TT, Cobras, Vettes and even a couple of MR2's. I'm dying for the next event now that I'm 4EFTE powered!TaWcomA26 said:
