I have nothing really for Emergencies in my car. My parents didn't give me anything. All i have is my trusty cell phone. I'll be driving 50miles a day to and from school. So i just want to be prepaired for anything. I checked my trunk. All i have is a Jack, a wierd stick looks like its for the jack, and a spare.

Should i invest in one of those 40$ 30peice Emergency kits like at Wal-mart?

BTW: whats suppose to be included in a car at time of purchase? i have a gen 3.5 camry LE

A toolbox, the factory tools, jumper cables, and a AAA card.

I think a cellphone is automatic. I don't know anyone who doesn't have a cell phone nowadays. More common to have a cell then a home phone.

Like in most Toyotas:

- Pliers
- 10, 11, 12, 14 mm fixed wrench
- Phillips/Flat screwdriver
- Sparkplug socket and handle

hm... seems like maybe i should invest in a little kit over at walmart for 40$ and i should make sure a 10mm is in there.

What i really need is a lug nut. to take out the tire if i got a flat. But are all lugs nut wrenchs the same size or should i look for something that suits a camry.

A dinky tire iron should be included with the car, and may double as "the weird stick that looks like its for the jack" :) You sure that isn't it? Not much torque to it, but it'll do the job.

I don't have a cell phone  :disappoin

My mom has a fairly involved plan with AT&T, so I might be able to hop on for $20 a month. I don't need anything special, maybe an hour a month.

I got a heap of stuff!

Apart from the toyota toolkit, i got a heap of stuff...

I got 2 new Spare tubes, a fanbelt, a fire extinguisher, basic first aid kit, warning triangles, spare fluids (brakefluid, clutch fluid, oil, distilled water), a gripwrench, flashlight with spare bulbs, cigarette-lighter-operated compressor pump, spare fuses, jumpers, an axe, araldite, and a complete set of combination spaners from size 8 to 19.
This is coz i do long trips on some bad roads in rural areas... Surprisingly, I've never really needed them.
Patrick.

I bought a roadside emerg kit from one of the local gas stations. Basically comes with a first aid kit, blanket and water. I also threw in a compact tool box, and flashlight for just in case. For the most part, I expect my cell phone is all I really need. But I have used the blanket a few times, and the first aid kit once in 5 years.
