i have the chance to pick up an 89 gen.1 4runner v6 sr5. good shape. considering where i live(maine) very little rust(frame, body). runnin on 225's. my concern is the motor.at 157,000 miles knowing its background.was told it runs good. everything looks good. but sadly it wont run do to a really rusty fuel line. i was thinking even if i had head problems i would fix them but i want a good project that will last. its just where i live its hard to come by a good old yota thats worth anything. every one ive had i dumped MONEY into to get road legal. so im cautious when it comes to these old trucks. what do you think? thanks for your time and input.

my 85' 4runner is gen one and with the removable top. this one is also removable top, gen 2(90-95) had no removable top and 4 door same for third(96-02)fourth(03-present). i was told it was an 89. either 88' or an 89'. cause the body style ended 89 and the v6 didnt start til 88. i know my yota's. ive had a handful of them. all with the 22r, just non with the 6. regardless i can get it really cheap. couple hundred. thanks for the input. greatly appriechiated*
