Im just curious what that scoop thing is above the headlights in foreign hiluxes. Is it an air scoop or something?

it already has a mirror tho, is it for a blind spot or something? and why isnt there one on the other side
its for parrallel parking, so you can get colse to the curb. space is a permium in japan.
