i did a search and came up empty handed so now i'm asking all you camry owners. i am going to be changing my spark plugs and i want to know which is the best for my engine and which ones seem to work better.

right now i have bosch platinum +4 plugs part# 4417 $5.99each


please don't just look post


and be specific please (ie:ngk denso autolite etc etc....



also what plug is best for a na engine a cold plug or hot plug and what is the part number for the two

Denso platinum-tipped, Iridium-coated, from my Toyota dealer.

Thanks for bringing this up - I have to get replacements soon :)

Bosch Platinums are nasty, drop them in a performance motor and tell me what happens.

I wouldn't run them in a pinto coupe. NGK Coppers are all I'll run in any of my cars unless the manual specifically states otherwise.

are you running copper in the camry??? i'm running them in my 2k1 maxima, and i want to run them in the camry also. let me know if you have a reference number for the plugs.


i run denso plat from toyota in the camry. i have a 93.

i put bosch plat. +2's in my 4 banger 93... they were great for about 1k miles, then started pinging under load like up big hills, or heavy foot driving... anyway, it took 91 octane gas to cure it... i finally gave up on that and used some NGK plats. been fine ever since... (about 15k miles so far)
