Don't know about the chains, but the limited slip is generally regarded as better for driving in slippery conditions on the road -- snow, rain, sleet, etc.

The locking differential is for hard-core off-road use and is supposed to be used only for slow speeds and ostensibly for short lengths where you're not turning. It's used to get un-stuck, or for rock crawling, etc. Very capable, but very specialized.

Good luck,

Shock valving, wheels, hood scoop, stickers, limited slip vs. locker in the rear.

Again.

The shocks are exactly the same on both trucks, please stop giving info if you don't know what your talking about.;)
The assembly plant part number for the shock is the same, meaning both trucks get the same shock during assembly.

i wanted the locker and skid plates. the tow hook might come in handy. it's all personal preference. my truck will not be a road queen.

btw, the search feature can be your friend. :)

Yeah... you'll have to forgive me for reposting what has been reported here. I accepted it as truth.

Thanks for being a fucking dick about it though. Now, go shit in your hat. :)

seeing that you're going 2wd, definitely get the sport. the LSD will help you more in the snow than a locker would, and your rear wheels will need all the help they can get. :) also, you'll get better gas mileage the rest of the time (2wd v. 4wd).

The heck with searching the site, we should just close all threads that ask a question and tell everyone to use google.

Some of those links above pertain to 2005 and we all know packages never change for the new model year.
