What To Do With Your Old Stock Springs

944 Views 11 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  amerikim

As a lot of you know I will be showing my Camry at the NOPI Nationals in Sept. My Hood Supports don't work and I'm going to rip them out so I thought about what I could use to prop open the Hood and then I saw one my my old stock springs lying around in my garage and I decided to use it:D I heavily sanded the spring down, it took me forever to get all the gunk off of it. After I was done sanding it, I used some primer that I bought from Wal-Mart and sprayed it. My car is getting painted this weekend and they're going to paint the spring the same color as my car:D I think it will look good at NOPI:thumbup:

Let me know what you guys think

you crazy fuck:lol: go to a junk yard and look for a convertible car. take both hydrolic shocks for the top out and have that installed on your car also get the pump that way when you pop your trunk and hood both will open up all the way. i plan on doing that to my rear hatch on the wagon.
All the Junk yards around here got bought out by the dealerships so they actually charge you dealership price on a used part:eek:

So I'd rather use my spring:p:
it's just to prop it up right?and why not get it chromed;)
