That stupid little pocket of pointlessness under my stereo is anoying, i want something in there that would either look cool, or be functional.

a spectrum analyzer would be cool, but i cant find one.

Well I have a second CD player with a spectrum analyzer there. I like it a lot. You might be able to find a Equalizer. I know they used to sell them. The only thing is that you need a CD player unit fromt he same manufacturer in the tray above. Other things to stick there would be guages or maybe an SAFC

*QUESTION*
How does an equalizer connect to the head unit? and once it is connected, do my RCA's for the amps then go from the EQ?

Occasionally on ebay there comes up a din sized cup holder. They usually call it an AE-86 cupholder, but something similar might work (the Tarus had one as well that was a din sized). Gets in the way of the shifter on the Supra, but should be fine for many!

On my Kenwood Head Unit, they have an auiliary hook up in the back of it where you can plug in a CD changer. My extra din size CD player/Spectrum Analyzer hooks up to that spot. I would imagine that the EQ would hook up to the same connection or would hook up like you said and the RCA's would go into the EQ kinda like with a home stereo setup. Then again, it could vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. What kind of Head unit do you have?

So what? Thiefs like everything. You can't go arund being paranoid about stuff in your car being stolen or you might as well just not mod your car at all. And even then, they can still try and steal your stock $hit.

im not conserned with theifs going after my stuff, they would have to be hella determined to get to it.

the head unit is secured by allen screws, and it has the metal backstrap thing on it to hold it it place.

I have a panasonic MP3/CD player in there now, i looked on crutchfield and saw a few equalizers, might check them out sometime.

I've got a DIN slot with a door in it sitting in my room. Pretty cool, and you can get them pretty cheap in the wreckers. The problem with an EQ is that they're usually only 1/2 din, so you'll need something to put under that as well.
