Hi friends,

What is the most recent year that Toyota marketed-- in the U.S.-- pickup trucks, SR5s, even 4Runner w/ following configuration:
4-cyl. || Rear-Wheel Drive || Manual Transmission.
I know someone looking for one but I didn't know how far back to go. This person is frustrated w/ Toyota's current line-up of automatic transmission, or AWD vehicles --just wants a "basic, no frills" version. Got me to thinking, what year model do you look for? My 1991 pickup has it. Toyota phased out Hi-Lux, then Tacoma emerged 1995.

Thank you!

Moved so one of the Hilux owners can answer your question, but I left a redirect in the General Discussion forum so members there can follow it to the new location if they have an answer. :thumbsup:

The T-100 had a manual transmission fer the 3rzfe from 1995 to 1998 (last year of manufacturing). I would guess that the first gen Tacoma would extend that out to 2004 as well. Looking further into the second gen Tacoma, it would appear that the 4 cylinder did have an option fer a manual transmission in the RWD truck...so at least up to 2015. ;)

Found a 2015 4 cylinder manual transmission RWD truck! :D
