It depends on how low you want to go.

I've got 2" drop spindles (I've actually cranked my torsion bars up slightly)and am running 245/45R17 on 17x8 mustang cobra wheels. I get some slight rubbing on really big bumps and if I have a passenger and turn all the way to the lock.

My friend has 2" drop spindles and lowered the torsion bars with 4" blocks in back and he runs the same wheels with 215/40R17 tires

Oh and we are both using 4x4 front fenders which allow more clearance.

Tell us what you're aiming for.
4WD fenders give much more wider clearance for wider wheels, I run them too.

I've fit some 18x9's (9.5's?!) on my truck before and only rubbed at FULL lock towards the inside. Tires are 265/35/18.

My truck is just a crappier red version of Vicoor's
