Wheels and leakiy top

I just purchased a 2000 MR2...and I have 3 questions...

1. In order to reduce the engine speed in highway driving, what wheels/tires are usable on it? Can I replace the rear wheels (like the 2003, and up, models)? Where/what type would you recommend...price is a consideration, and they don't have to be originals...

2. The previous owner replaced the top, and it looks like he did a nice job...BUT when it sits in the rain, it leaks a LOT of water into the rear cargo holds, which leaks into the cup holders, and the floor. Do you suppose he neglected to position the drains properly? If not, what might be the problem, and the fix?

3. I need to replace the upholstery on the seats (and door inserts); the original color is red and black...what suggestions do you have to for replacement? I don't necessarily have to stay with the original...they're VERY expensive...

Thanks

Where the top folds down into the sides of the car sometimes gets clogged with leaves, debris, bugs, etc., sending the water into the rear luggae compartments and into the center console cup holder.
I had this problem with my '01 Spyder. After a thorough cleaning, problem stopped.
