These Tires are not good, there ok but do not feel right.

Has this ever happed to anyone when ordering the tires where not what was on list?
And has anyone used MICHELIN CrossClimate® 2

I have driven on the Scorpion AS Plus 3 and they are amazing about a 9 out of 10. I have also driven with the Cross Climate 2's. They are nice but depending on where you live and if snow is involved I prefer the AS Plus 3's

You can't choose the tires in advance. If your dealer said they could, they were at best incorrect, and at worst, just telling you what you wanted to hear. The factory probably just grabs tires from a pile and puts them on wheels. There's no way to ensure a specific car gets a specific brand of tire.

Back in the days of lots of inventory, one time I had a choice between two identical Highlanders on the lot, and then the tires helped me make the choice.

Factory tires are biased toward quiet ride and maybe MPG. Tread life on the first set of tires is starting to go downhill, as the tread on an OEM version of a tire is becoming less than what you'd get on a retail version of the same tire. It's the same concept as "starter cartridges" with a new printer.

Are the tires I am looking at, we get a lot of ice storms over here lately. New thing now.
Have you heard anything good or bad on theses tires?

I run Pirelli Scorpion Verdes on my 2014 MDX and have Cross Climate 2's on my 2020 Highlander. I like them both and in south western PA winters and AWD on both vehicles, I have no complaints. I had Nokians on the MDX before the Pirelli's and like those as well but only got a little over 40k miles on them before they needed changed out.

When manufactures build cars and trucks they put the order request out to all the tire manufactures to supply them with OK quality tires, they never put on top tier branded tires on their vehicles otherwise they would have to charge you a lot more for the vehicle, super car price territory. :)

So you get what you paid for. If you don't like the stock tires replace them and sell the stock tires or see if your tire shop will give you credit for them towards your new tires.

My XLE came with the Michelin tires on 18" wheels. I thought that they were kinda ugly so I replaced them with 20" OEM XSE wheels and put CrossClimate2 tires on them.

I love the tires, they aren't any louder than the stock Michelins... and they handle extremely well in almost all conditions- including snow/rain. The only negative that I've experienced is that my Highlander is getting slightly lower MPG with the 20" wheels and CrossClimate2s vs the factory 18" wheels. It's probably a combination of the heavier 20" wheels (vs 18") and the fact that the CrossClimate2s are more traction-focused than eco-focused.

CC2 are very good compromise tire, but they are that, a compromise.
They are not summer or good, performance all season for warm weather, or true snow tire.
As long as driver is aware of limitations, they are probably best all weather tire on the market.

Mine came with Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S

I ditched them for the CC2. Would I buy them again? No.

they are good in the snow after the plows go through. They are pathetic in deep heavy snow, so don’t get caught in a blizzard in front of the plows

the pluses are, great after the plows come and are long wearing tires, despite not having full depth sipes that Michelin is known for

They are not snow tire. It is as simple as that.

The internet says they are the best thing, next to sliced bread, even with the 3PMSF logo that makes it a "snow tire" like other winter tires.

I've had Nokian all-weather tires that dig throw heavy snow better, at the expense of wear, which is a trade-off I don't mind.

Internet can say a lot of things. There are a lot of all terrain etc. tires that have :3PMSF sign and absolutely abysmal snow performance.
Nokian sells in the US all weather tire that basically is winter tire. I have seen less aggressive and harder winter tires than their All Weather tires. That is why there is punishment when it comes to wear and warm performance. CC2 is dedicated all weather tire.

Yet, Nokian offers similar treadwear warranty as the CC2

Don't like the tires that are OEM...change them. Problem solved!
