Im wanting to buy a case of 90915-20004 oil filters. These filters are made in Japan. Im having a hard time locating them. The dealer wants to sell me the 90915-yzzd3 filter that will work, but its made in Thailand, and thats not what I want. I want the 90915-20004 made in Japan that comes on the new Tacomas. There has to be a website out there somewhere where I can order them. Also I think the Denso 115010-5021 filter is the same. So I would order the Toyota or the Denso. Does anyone know where I can order either one?
Thanks.

I looked on trdparts4u.com and searched the part number and just as your post says the dealer offered 90915yzzd3 (they say this part number has superseded the orig. 90915-20004). My guess is that the part number you are looking for is no longer in production therefore anyone you would by it from has a small supply. which makes the price higher, you could try ordering a larger quantity and splitting it with another individual?

90915-yzzd3 (its a Denso) are still the large sized filter like the stock new one. Cleaned out my dealer of 6 when they had a 3.50 ea sale (and spark plugs for 2.50 ea). Quite a bit cheaper than chasing down the 90915-20004.

They are still in production, but they're a bit harder to get. I've got a stockpile in my basement. ;)

I just get an M1-209 filter. It's probably at least as good, costs < $10, and is locally available so no need to stock up.

hmm. the filter on the right though isn't the same size as the D3, it looks smaller, like a G1 (the previous generation tacomas took G1's)
the one on the left looks like a D3 to me in terms of size. is the 2004 supposed to filter better than the D3? seems like a lot of money for something that looks the same. does anyone have any pics of the 2004 next to a D3 for comparison?
