Sevice manual says to retorque at 30,000. I did a search but could not find exactly what this is and where it is located. I have a 2-wheel drive with v6. Also what is the torque requirement for this bolt.

Are you sure you're looking at the 2WD stuff?

I thought the propeller shaft was the front driveshaft. Since you don't have 4wd, you wouldn't have a propeller shaft.....

We here in the States always call it a drive shaft, but even Toyota calls it a propeller shaft. Until the Propeller Shaft recall on the Tundras, I had never heard of the term propeller shaft...so, I did a little research on the web and guess what? The drive shaft really is supposed to be called a propeller shaft!:ugh3: (I think I read that propeller shaft is a british term while we in the US call it a drive shaft)

I've seen it as propeller shaft for as long as I can remember in formal use. (propeller shaft because it is used to propel the vehicle)


OTOH, if you're to believe LOST, the Aussies refer to it as Driveshaft...

I'd highly recommend downloading all of it while it's available to you.

You never know how long that stuff is gonna be available. A few weeks back -there were posts about Toyota forcing people to take this stuff off the internet.
