hey guys

i was wondering where a good place to good used or new bucket seats for relatively cheap for my 84 pickup. my bench seats are fine they're just the stock ones and with tipical driver wear after 180K miles and i wouldn't mind gettin' some bench seats. also when i do get some i'll probably get a center console too. so if anyone knows where to get one possibly with cup holder seeing as how mine doesn't. thanks guys

I just bought a Tuffy Series 2 console for my 87 with bucket seats. Want me to tell you how it did? It has cup holders, and a locking top. For seats, look at a junk yard at old camry seats and such, might have to fab something for em to fit, but, you could do it.

i used honda del sol bucket seats. they look nice and were almost an exact bolt in. you could build your own console or buy one of those clutter catchers to fit in the middle. i redid my carpet when i put in my seats also. all in all the interior has only cost me about 75 bux less the radio and other electronics ive added. not complete by any means.

this one was taken before i bolted them in and when i had the engine and tranny out for a rebuild
http://members.cox.net/subliminaltrips/cab rear.JPG dont mind the "here it was an example for somebody in the other forum.

this is about 3 weeks ago, the speaker box behind the seat is not there anymore. the box in the middle is a console im working on that will house 2 6 inch mid range speakers. and the power inverter for 110v ac .

Would this work on an 86 pickup?

Hey man! How do you go about recarpeting the interior? And where did you find the door panels in such good shape? I have an 1988 pickup.

I have 82 & found carpet for entire floor for about 100.00 shipped, was even molded to fit floor & had heel pad. got it online somewhere.trimmed to fit on edges, cut out for shifter & added new dnyamat stuff under it. Just do some browser searching for carpet. I think there were several places to choose from. Used different roll of cheap easy to work with stuff for back wall of cab. Was all black so no color matching issues. This is actually 1st time the truck has ever had real carpet in it, came with rubber mat thing for base models then had astroturf a couple of times.

I plan to put some 85 supra seats I found. These seats won the car and driver award for world best seats in 84. Hold you realy great and feature the orthopedic adjustments with the pump (only driver side) both for 60$. Would fit bolt on on a 4 x 4 87 4runner, but I'll have to drill two new hole in my 1990 pick-up on the driver side to fit (factory couch:lol:). I've also found 89 Supra cloth seats for 20$ each. They are sometime cheap, are electricaly operated (some of them) and hold great. Found them all on other forum board. I've also made a custom seat out of a BMW 540i for home matter. Found two for 140$ in a scrap yard. Unfortunatly it won't fit a Toyota without major modifications.

My 2cents

couldn't you put in any seats and console from a 4runner as long as it was from the corresponding years?

find old door panels and recover them, its REALLY easy, I did it myself. If you dont have any that are in good condition, trace the design onto hardboard and cut them out.

i used boat carpet from lowes. i just cut it to fit and then glued it down on top of some dynamat.

the seats are pretty much the same on the trucks from 84 up. mounts should be too.

I tried 4 Runner buckets in my 86 Pickup and they didn't really fit. The passenger seat in 4 Runners was meant to push forward in order to access the rear seat. The driver's side fit better, but not for all the bolts. Best of luck.
