Philip ballast or Hella?

i ask b/c the person which i purchased my retro kit asked if i wanted to swap the hella ballasts which i initially wanted for philip ballasts (same ballast from a caddy XLR)

Because you want the ballast matched with the bulb for best bulb performance. If they're selling you Phillips bulbs, use a Phillips ballast. That's what I put in mine.

woah, way to revive an old thread. i eventually sold all the parts from my HID project and never installed these. oh wells!
