I have a 97 toyota camry and whenever i accel my car whistles.i took it to a shop and they said i need a new muffler.thinking it may be a loose hose this made no scence.all hoses appear fine and now im at a lose.please help.thank you

Probably just your air intake whistling. Or you have a vacuum leak.
To fix this, get 3" exhaust, delete the muffler, slap on a TRD supercharger and Injen intake. You won't notice it after that. Or for a more cost effective solution, turn up the stereo.
