Hello Fellow Members,

I want to change my stock fog bulbs to yellow. My bulb type is 2504 I'm having a hard time searching for yellows online, there's a couple LED's Amber/yellow on eBay. I'm wondering if someone have them on. Please post pictures. If anyone knows a store who sells them in yellow please post. thanks!

The best imo. I have them in my HL. The Endurance line is similar in appearance to the lighting used in Endurance motor sports such as the ALMS and 24 Heurs du Mans. Recommended bulb for fog lamp use only! It is very, very yellow in color. It is great for rain/snow.

I'll have to check when I get home tonight, and will post back. When I placed my order about 2 years ago I was confused by what they listed as well, and ended up sending them an e-mail. I have the case they came in still, and will check.

awesome, I too want to upgrade in our 2011 so would greatly appreciate the info.

Also, are the bulbs pretty easy to change?
They are a bit of a pain in the ass. You need to take about 3 or 4 plastic plugs out from the front portion of the plastic wheel liner to gain access on each side. I didn't remove the liner. I just took enough of the plastic fasteners out to pull the liner back enough to squeeze my arm in and twist the back of the plug off. It took about 30 minutes to do both sides. I ended up breaking a couple of the fasteners. Went to my dealer for replacements and after a lot of searching, and trying different ones per their schematics we came up with something that works.
The schematics do not show which plastic plugs are there to use.

In the end I ended up blowing off replacing a couple of them because it made no difference if they were in or not. That was 18 months ago, and everything is fine.

I sent Hoen an email about an hour ago asking for the correct part number for the 2010-2012 HL. I'll copy and post it when they respond. I have an 08, and don't know if things changed from 08 to the 2010-2012. Would hate to give you folks the wrong info.

Thanks for emailing them, I hope they have it in 2504. By the way I've purchased yellow fogs from HOEN too and yes they look good! The best yellow fog lights I've seen so far.

I wouldn't just buy an H11 thinking its going to fit.

Because you emailed them about 2010-2012 becks (or at least that's what you posted), the guy at the other end probably checked just the 2010 which IS a H11. But the 2011+ use a completely different bulb/housing. I wouldn't buy an expensive H11 to test it. Get some dirt cheap one to see if it will fit the socket of the housing (I highly doubt it will), and even if it will, you will have to modify the electrical connector to fit the H11

edit: FWIW the 2011+ does use H11's for the low beam....
Its pretty ridiculous Toyota would switch to a bulb that is so rare/new nobody makes replacement bulbs and its hard to even find bulb info on google (and has much less performance vs a H11) ....a big WTF for Toyota on that. Even the biggest bulb manufactuer out there, Slyvania, doesn't make 2504 bulb....What were they thinking...

+1, Why would they change bulb type!? I don't think the changing of the fog housing would be a factor. The moment I checked the bulb type in the manual, I was like WTF is a 2504!!!

Well..here is what I asked Gary.

"Hi,

I purchased a set of Hoen Amber Fog Lamp bulbs from your company about 18 months ago. Recently some members have asked about them. In particular, which part number to order. Could you please tell me the part number for a 2010 thru 2012 Toyota Highlander that they should be looking for ?"

As always, it would be prudent to verify, and a simple e-mail, or phone call would suffice. Hoen makes top shelf bulbs, and personally, I wouldn't touch electrical stuff off of ebay for my vehicles. Hoen is a reputable company, and I am sure they would correct any
mis-information they provide, or refund your money if they provided the wrong product.

The guy just probably searched for the 2010, not aware 2011-12 changed.
