Who make Toyota's oil filters?

I believe it's Denso. If you order the filters in bulk and online, it will save you a trip to the dealer and some money too.

Something I noticed about the second link is how Denso fares.

Something worth noting is that even though Denso makes all of Toyota's filters, Denso does have various types, so just reading about "Denso" filters won't give an accurate representation of all that's out there. The Denso filters made in Japan versus USA/Thailand, etc are a lot different in construction and design.

I think most reviews are of the Thailand filters.

just go to pepboys and get the Purolator PureOne. It's rated very high for micron filtration. Model is PL10241.

Or if you think you gotta have the toyota filter, just buy them in bulk. Do some reading on the PureOne though.

I agree somewhat but, when does OEM exceed the aftermarket? If it did, this site wouldn't exist. Not to mention the fact that the overseas market OEM filters are hard to find here (my stealership does not stock them, says they can't find them).

I bought a case of Toyota filters on ebay for cheap. I think they worked out to less than $3 a piece that way.

I believe a good aftermarked filter will do the trick. Sure haven't heard of alot of Toyota V6s popping from aftermarket filters! And yes, have heard all the hearesay. Everybody knows somebody who knew somebody who.......
