side draft carbs

Side draft carbs shorten the distance the engine has to "pull" the air into the engine. Instead of four cylinders trying to draw air form one place, each cylinder gets it's own path. They also give the air a straight shot, not turning a sharp angle.

^ it depends on what you have for carbs. My buddy has a DCOE 45 on a mini, and since we tuned it, it runs great even though it's a 13:1 race engine. Tuning is key on side drafts.
